Business Model of Business Schools is Changing

Interesting blog post and article on how the business models at business schools are changing. Notice that what is lacking is a comprehension, a holistic view of the complexities of modern organizations:

[…] the task of achieving cross-functional coordination and providing students with a cross-functional perspective on organizations is very difficult indeed. What you get instead is graduates who are, as a rule, smart as whip, but who have no view of firms as a whole.

Oh yes, adding to the mounting criticism on MBAs et al., also by outstanding thinkers and teachers like Henry Mintzberg, one has to wonder whether business schools are on the right track to prepare their students to run the businesses of the future.
