Persönlich habe ich jedenfalls in den kurzen vier Wochen des buzzens mehr wertvolle Diskussionen gehabt als in drei Jahren Twitter."nice post - includes funny stab at old-school VCs, some smart reasoning for #coworking et al. - overall great post on why being a distributed company isn't bad after all4 hours ago, comment
oh, here's the VC comment:
"VCs that insist that they need to be able to manage a company by physically visiting are making the same mistake that old school managers make when they say that they have to watch their staff work to make sure they are working.
If your company doesnt perform or you staff wont work if you are not watching over people’s shoulders, then it won’t excell even if you are doing so."

"No one likes meetings and for good reason. In most meetings, most of the time, most people think most of what goes on is a waste of time.
So what if you took out all of the stupid, wasteful stuff and left only the useful parts?"

"The reality is organizations — just like people and products — have life cycles and life spans. And very few live forever. My first realization of this little-spoken fact was many years ago when Eastern Airlines gave up the ghost and left me holding a lifetime membership in the Ionosphere Club. It was a shock to realize that my life was going to last longer than a company considered a leader in its industry."
