some points from the external / ecosystem use of social web track at #sbs2010 __ we've came to the State of the Nation moment; a wrap up of our joint discussions internal/external/ecosystem findings today


- organization as a platform for a shared idea
- in M&As this leads us to consider the process of how we can reach a shared idea again
- integration of processes in, say supply chains may profit from an understanding of suppliers as people (partners) more than as suppliers (yack, of course, we lose that sight at times, too bad)

- small pieces loosely joined/ coupled are a model that needs more interest
- add this: "why do we want to be a social business?" : because every node we add to our network adds exponently to business value

Yes, esp. when it concerns how to argue for social business design, that is in face of
- a lack of CxO understanding and insight
- a stubborn insistence on hard metrics and planneability
- hidden / open hostility
- little interest in experiments, risk tasking and dangerous visibility
- lots more ...
