Die sieben Thesen, die sich allesamt gut anhören (und wenn der BiTKOM wirkliche Netzneutralität unterstützen sollte wäre ich noch begeisterter, vielleicht ergibt sich daraus ja auch ein Gegengift gegen die Schirrmachers dieser Welt?):

1. Das Internet ist dumm und das ist auch gut so.
2. An vielem, was das Netz gefährlich macht, sind die Nutzer selbst schuld.
3. Die Staaten dieser Welt werden sich nicht darüber einigen, wie das Netz sein sollte. Aber ein Minimalkonsens in Sachen Verbrechensbekämpfung lässt sich herstellen.
4. Wir sollten aufhören, vermeintlichen Exhibitionismus anzuprangern, solange wir den Menschen ins Wohnzimmer starren. Wir brauchen eine neue Definition von Öffentlichkeit.
5. Jugendschutz ist wichtig, aber nicht wichtiger als alles andere. Mit Providern als Zensor wäre das Ende des freien Netzes gekommen.
6. Urheberrechte sind wichtig, aber nicht wichtiger als Bürgerrechte.
7. Die Vorteile des freien Internets überwiegen seine Nachteile. Wer das Internet für überwiegend schädlich hält, muss ein Menschenfeind sein.

“Online” ist ein Synonym für “am Puls der Zeit”, für “gut informiert” oder “mitten drin”. Wer hingegen “offline” ist, hat von der Welt keine Ahnung, ist abgehängt, ausgeklinkt, draußen. Das Internet hat das Leben rasend schnell und nachhaltig verändert. Es ist jedoch wertfrei gegenüber seinen Inhalten. Wie können die Gesellschaften ihm einen Rahmen geben?
